Bali has grown into one of the most "Instagrammable" places on earth and a common addition to every globe-trotter's bucket list. It's one of the top destinations for honeymooners in the world while its numerous activities require at least two weeks to explore them. However, in this article, we are not going to focus on the romantic side of Bali, neither on the activities that you can do in general.

We researched and found the most extraordinary, unique and, above all, fun activities that you can do on Bali Island. From swinging over the jungle and exploring UNESCO designated sites to even horse riding on the beach. The options are plenty - the choice is yours!

A Wellness Resort that will balance your fun adventure in Bali!

For a fun experience in Bali that feels complete, you will need a hotel that can balance your vacations with tranquility and wellness - and, we think, we've got the right one for you. It's more like a villa complex rather than a hotel and it's located near Boliva Beach, amid tropical gardens, tall palm trees and idyllic rice fields - its name is   Puri Mangga Sea View Resort.

Puri Mangga Sea View Resort & Spa invites you to enjoy your Bali vacations away from tourism, as it's far from the popular town of Denpasar. When staying at this hotel, your only company will be the exotic surroundings as well as the successful combination of Tuscan and traditional Balinese style. The way it blends with its surroundings is out of this world - feeling like you are staying in a tropical jungle hotel.

Of course, it's fully equipped with a wide array of facilities, including a restaurant, a spa, and a stunning pool, which are most convenient for lazy days when you don't want to leave the resort. What we loved about this hotel is that breakfast is served, upon request, anytime you want during the day, including a wide assortment of recipes such as pancakes, egg-cipes, fried noodles, etc.

Every evening, you can also enjoy a four course dinner at around 15 euro per person or choose one of the delicious menus curated by their chefs. Private dining is also available while a selection of delicious snacks will keep your tammy full during your stay. Overall, Puri Mangga Sea View Resort & Spa is definitely the best place to stay during your fun trip in Bali!

1. Swing over the Jungle - or, chill out in a Hanging Nest!

Definitely one of the most Instagrammable and iconic experiences to enjoy in Bali, Swinging over the Balinese Jungle has become a sensation among influencers and visitors. Although this is not an activity for the lighthearted, height options ranging from 10m to 78m above ground are also available.

Not a fan of heights? At Bali Swing, you can also chill out in one of the 'Hanging Nests', scattered around the playground. They are located between huge palm trees, accessible via a ladder that is removed during photos.

So, simply pick a landscape to swing over, like the jungle, Lake Tambingan, or a rice terrace, and be ready for the most breathtaking swinging of your life.

P.S.: Make sure that a friend of yours snaps some insta pics from behind!

2. Explore the Secret Garden of Sambangan & Take a bath at the Aling Aling Waterfall!

At the far north side of Bali lies the traditional village of Sambangan, whose lush jungles and waterfalls - known as the Secret Gardens, make up the perfect setting for nature exploration and relaxation. The Gardens include a wide array of natural pools, cascading waterfalls hidden in the rain-forest, and plenty of spots to picnic.

There is an entrance fee that starts from approx. $9.87 depending on the activities you wish to do. Aling Aling is the first of the seven waterfalls of the Secret Gardens and it's a 10-15 minutes walk from the entrance. Although you can't swim at this waterfall, as it's considered holy, you can take a dive at Kroya Waterfall and fully enjoy the 5m jump or the 12m slide!

3. Take a Bath & Breakfast with Elephants

This is an activity offered at Mason Elephant Park & Lodge and it includes washing, feeding and bareback riding atop of elephants as they splash and play in their bathing lake. A lush buffet breakfast completes the experience, which you can enjoy while watching the elephants playing in the lake.

There are several packages available, but we recommend going for the Bathe & Breakfast with Elephants one, without the Safari Ride. If you are staying far away from this place, you can set up a pickup area and they will pass by to pick you up. Of course, keep in mind that there are fixed hours that they pass by from every major Balinese town.

4. Watch the Sunrise over Pinggan Village - a truly breathtaking spectacle!

Are you a fan of photography? Then, you will be delighted to hear about Pinggan Village. It's one of the hidden gems of Bali, that has somehow managed to escape the tourist crowds, yet. It offers one of the best sunrise views on the island, that even compares to the sunrise of Mt. Batur. The village is located in the Kingtamani region, northeast on Bali Island, while its location, 1.300 meters above sea level, creates a unique sight.

Although you may notice that most taxi drivers are not very willing to take you there, there are a few tours that organize frequent sunrise tours to this area. Moreover, Pinggan Village is close to the wonderful Sekumpul Waterfall, the stunning temples Pura Ulan Danu Batur, and the renowned Gateway to Heaven, Pura Lempuyang Luhur.

5. Walk through Bali's trendiest bazaars!

After the sun sets, Jalan Batu Balong is transformed into a colourful hub for the island's visitors to chill out, drink their favorite cocktails, and spend their evening socializing. The area is made up of a complex of restaurants, bars and shops, which are decorated with dreamy lights, attracting both hipster visitors and locals.

Every Sunday, the area is transformed into the most stunning bazaar in Bali with stalls offering trendy fashion, accessories, homeware, and lots of vintage works. This is, of course, the best place to take souvenirs back home to your loved ones, as the items sold there are pretty unique.
