Commonly known as the ultimate honeymoon destination, it's easy to see why Bali always tops the list with the most romantic places around the world! Beyond the clear water beaches, enchanting forests, ancient temples and gorgeous sunsets, there are plenty of activities you and your other half can partake in to fall in love all over again!

Here are some of our favorites:

  • Enjoy a Sunset Dinner
  • Have A Hillside Picnic At Bukit Asah Bugbug (Asah Hill)
  • Relax at a Spa
  • Watch a Beach-side Outdoor Movie
  • Take A Helicopter Ride Over Bali
  • Go On A Romantic Horseback Ride
  • Go For A Golden Stroll Through The Marigold Fields
  • Go to the Beach

Sunset Dinner

Arguably one of the most romantic things you can do when in Bali is enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner with your loved one!  Imagine enjoying a front-row view of a magnificent sunset while sipping on your favorite wine and chowing down some fresh seafood. Enjoying a delicious meal on the beach is the perfect place to unwind and relax after walking around the cliffs of Uluwatu or visiting temples all day. Almost all restaurants in Bali feature fresh seafood that have been caught earlier in the morning by local fishermen. One recommended restaurant along the beach shore is Cuca, which serves an international menu with a local twist.

Bukit Asah Bugbug (Asah Hill)

In Eastern Bali lies Asah Hill, also known as Bukit Asah Bugbug. From the peak of this hill, you can freely enjoy stunning 360 views of the Indian Ocean and small islands around. After a short hike that releases endorphins, why not sit down and set up a picnic? Grab a blanket, some wine, cheese, meats and crackers while you enjoy the beautiful painterly image of the sun setting.

Melia Bali is situated on the shores of Nusa Dua. Featuring contemporary and tropical architecture, large gardens, and a giant swimming lagoon pool, this is THE destination to stay at to enjoy your dream vacation!

Spa

Bali is known to be a relaxation haven, so why not head over to a spa to share some intimacy with your loved one! Thailand is known for its variety and abundance of healing remedies, including massages and spa treatments such as sea water detoxes or body wraps. Some spas even have special couple experiences for you and your other half to enjoy together! We recommend checking out the Nest Beachside Spa!

Outdoor Movie

Movies are always romantic, but why not kick it up a notch and enjoy an outdoor movie by the beachfront in Bali! You have the option to purchase drinks, snacks and even a full meal here! We recommended visiting Karma Beach on Monday Night, where their private movie night will invite you with open arms and make you feel like you are right at home!

RECOMMENDED HOTEL: MELIA BALI

Foodies rejoice!   Melia Bali has ample amounts of eateries to help you satisfy any craving. If you are looking for traditional drinks and snacks while feasting under the stars, head to the Lobby Bar.

Or, if you are having those late night munchies, head over to the 24 hour El Patio Coffee Shop for continental and Asian dishes. You can also taste flavors from Japan, Spain and the Mediterranean, all without stepping out of the hotel!

To digest after eating a hefty meal, try heading over to the well equipped gym where you can befriend your personal trainer! From there, you can try your hand at the tennis court, swimming pool, badminton court and more! You can also relax and unwind at the on-site spa featuring comfortable treatments and massages.

Helicopter Ride

It is a well known fact that Bali has terrible traffic jams. Why not escape from the annoying wait and see the island from above the ground? Fly with Air Bali and see the world differently from a bird's eye view, while sipping on champagne with your partner!

The Marigold Fields

Situated between Kintamani and Bedugal lies the radiant Marigold Fields. This is the perfect location to take some couple photos or just to have a relaxed and romantic stroll among the flowers. In fact, the marigolds are a symbol of Bali as the colors are in response to Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, the Balinese God.

Horseback Riding

Horseback riding is something out of a movie! Try visiting the Bali Equestrian Center in Canggu, for a private 2 hour horseback riding tour where you can chase down your significant other on the beach with the wind in your hair! Along the path, you will see villages, rice fields, creeks, temples are more!

Go to the Beach

Of course, Bali is beach haven! A visit would not be complete without going to the beach. We recommend the more secluded beaches of Gunung Payung in Nusa Dua if you are looking for privacy and less crowds of tourists! This beach has beautiful panoramic views and clear waters for swimming or snorkeling.
